Basejump Unveils Web3 Social Gaming Platform with AI-Powered Game Creator

Basejump, a pioneering Web3 social gaming firm, today introduced their groundbreaking gaming platform. The innovative platform, powered by a new AI driven substrate known as Action, allows users to rapidly build their own games. It all leads to one of the biggest social and Web3 gaming milestones in 2025, with the launch planned for early that year.

A New Era of Gaming Creation

Basejump has built an open, AI-powered gaming substrate called Action and players can create their own game content without any coding experience. We are proud to reveal this brand new feature that allows a wider range of audiences access to game creation while providing interactivity and customization. Action is built on AO, Arweave-based distributed super computer ensuring that all game assets and worlds created by Actors (players) are safely stored on chain as permanent storage along with Arweave’s tech.

Basejump’s vision, as articulated by CEO Matt Mason, is to create a “discovery surface” for the 3.2 billion people using avatars in games and digital worlds. The platform allows users to import their game characters, items, and skins into a constantly expanding universe of worlds that can be instantly created and explored.

Key Features of the Platform

  1. Interoperable Game Assets: Action supports the creation of unique game assets and avatars, fostering seamless integration across various gaming ecosystems.
  2. On-Chain Scalability: Powered by AO’s hyper-parallel computing, the platform can handle unbounded computation, allowing for scalable and efficient game development.
  3. Permanent Storage: By leveraging Arweave, user-generated content is stored indefinitely, preserving the integrity of creations.
  4. AI-Driven Creation: Users can “speak” their ideas into existence, akin to using a ChatGPT-like system for game development.

Collaboration with Community Labs

Basejump secured strategic funding from Community Labs, an organization central to the Arweave and AO ecosystems. According to Tate Berenbaum, CEO of Community Labs, Basejump’s fusion of social gaming with AI aligns perfectly with their mission to drive innovation in decentralized technology.

Community Labs provides the foundational tools and resources to scale projects like Basejump. Their venture studio focuses on enabling founders to transition ideas from inception to mass adoption.

Origins and Evolution

Basejump’s journey began as Dazzle Ship, launching an NFT collection 18 months ago. Inspired by the community that formed around these metaverse-like spaces, the team, led by Mason, CTO Brent Fitzgerald, and CCO Lex Johnson, began developing the platform in late 2022.

Addressing the limitations of current avatars, Basejump focuses on creating interoperable game characters and assets. Unlike competitors such as Ready Player Me, Basejump offers a distinct approach while remaining open to potential collaborations.

The Road Ahead

Next week the alpha tests for Basejump will begin, with the service launching in early 2025. However, the platform may incorporate NFTs at a later time in their relate — an option they are considering.

Our technology can be a revolution, enabling game worlds and assets to exist as decentralized GPU compute — Mason According to Mason, “With AO you’re able to speak an asset or a world into existence.

With its official debut in the works, Basejump looks to change gaming with a unique combination of cutting-edge AI and Web3 magic.
